CPA Spending on Projects in FY 2002-2006

The figure and table below show the breakdown of CPA spending on many projects reported to the Community Preservation Coalition in the four program areas (open space, historic preservation, community housing and recreation) during the fiscal years 2002 through early 2006. Because of the reporting mechanism and time lag, the data below is not based on a complete list of all CPA projects, and is not comprehensive; it should only be used as a representative guide.

*Figures for FY 2006 are not complete.

The Community Preservation Coalition (CPC) compiles information on many community projects that are funded in whole or in part with CPA funds. Projects approved and reported to the CPC as of August 31, 2006 have provided for the development of at least 871 units of affordable housing, the preservation of at least 7,349 acres of open space, the restoration and preservation of more than 300 historic resources and sites, and the creation of more than 154 new recreational facilities.
