2005 Matching Funds Distributed - 100% Match!
For the fourth straight year, the state has provided 100% matching funds to Community Preservation Act communities.
On October 15, 2005, the Massachusetts Department of Revenue distributed
$46.3 million to 82 cities and towns that had adopted the CPA and added
the CPA surcharge to their property tax bills in the previous fiscal
year. These state matching funds represent a 100% match of what the
communities raised locally.

Belchertown, Bridgewater, Edgartown, Fairhaven, Groton, Hamilton, Hanover, Kingston, Manchester, Marion, Needham, Northampton, Northborough, Oak Bluffs, Randolph, Sharon, Tisbury, Waltham, Wenham, West Tisbury, and Weymouth.
The following communities have just adopted CPA, and will receive their first match in October, 2007:
Carver, Dunstable, East Longmeadow, Lexington, Longmeadow, Maynard, Tewksbury, and West Newbury.
