Seekonk and Rehoboth residents working to adopt CPA mount successful petition campaigns

Residents of two neighboring southeastern Massachusetts communities - Seekonk and Rehoboth - have recently completed successful initiative petition campaigns to place CPA on their spring town election ballots. Seekonk residents will be voting on implementing a 1.25% CPA surcharge, while Rehoboth residents will be voting on a 1% CPA surcharge. Exemptions to the surcharge would be available for all low income families and low- and mooderate-income seniors in both communities, while the first $100,000 in residential property value would also be exempt in Seekonk. Seekonk residents have developed and launched an informational website on how CPA can benefit their community. To access this website, click on the following link: cpaseekonk.org.
