Plympton, Hanson, and Becket all adopt CPA in spring elections, raising the tally of CPA communities to 133 statewide

In a successful day for CPA, residents of the communities of Plympton, Hanson, and Becket recently voted by wide majorities to accept the Community Preservation Act. All three communities voted on Saturday, May 17th, and all chose to adopt the Act with local CPA surcharges of 1.5%. At the same time, communities are beginning to line up to vote on CPA in the fall: the communites of Shutesbury, Royalston, and Swansea have all recently voted to place CPA on the ballot for the November 4th, 2008 election.
