Preserving What's Special in SE MA

May 9, 2011: On Thursday June 16, 2011, from 9:00am - 3:30pm, join a tour by boat and bus to to learn about recent successes and upcoming opportunities for land conservation projects in southeastern Massachusetts. The tour will highlight the multiple benefits of these conserved open spaces, which can:

* Preserve water quality for both rural and urban users
* Provide a setting for youth workforce development
* Facilitate climate change adaption strategies
* Support critical wildlife habitat
* Increase local food production on "working landscapes
* Offer opportunities for education and recreation for all ages.
