January 28, 2013: On Monday, March 4th, from 6:00 to 8:00pm, Worcester County communities will have the opportunity to learn more about the Community Preservation Act (CPA), protecting crucial habitat lands with CPA, and recent changes to the CPA legislation at an evening workshop at Alternatives Unlimited (50 Douglas Road) in Whitinsville (a village of Northbridge, MA).
MassAudubon and the Community Preservation Coalition are co-hosting this forum to discuss the Community Preservation Act (CPA) and priority conservation lands identified with the BioMap2 tool. Communities will learn about CPA, adopting CPA, and how to use CPA open space funds strategically to focus land protection efforts on the most critical areas. Click here for the workshop program.
Attendees will receive community-specific maps of the priority habitat areas in their city or town.
Pizza dinner will be provided.
Please RSVP to Stephanie Elson (a former member of the Coalition staff!) by phone at (781)-259-2146, or by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
