This project will fund much needed new doors and windows at the AHA apartment complex at Windsor Ave in order to protect the housing units from further deterioration due to weather and mold.

Improvements made from the 2011 CPA appropriation triggered Mass Architectural Access Board requirements for full building accessibility. This will help fund a vertical lift to the second floor and renovation of the first floor bathroom to meet full accessibility requirements.

Improvements to recreation facility to include two additional shade structures and bathhouse security upgrades.

Replenishes the existing Community Housing Program Fund for the acquisition, creation, preservation and support of community housing in Acton. $13,275 in capital improvement for deed restricted units. $12,600 in mortgage payment and down payment assistance.

This project will fund the construction of a new boardwalk and a paved universal access sidewalk ramp from Minot Ave. and Forest Road.

Replenish the existing Community Housing Program Fund, held by the Acton Community Housing Corporation, for the acquisition, creation, preservation and support of community housing in Acton. $153,140 has been was made available to purchase a 3BR unit for the Acton Housing Authority

Funding has been made to fund a three-year water chestnut removal program for Ice House Pond and Robbins Mill Pond. The preservation project will be conducted by a licensed environmental company using mechanical harvesting.

Funding has been made to help fund the construction of a new boardwalk and the removal of 14 trees to improve safety and forest diversity.

The Massachusetts Historic Commission has previously deemed the cemetery eligible for inclusion in the National Registry Listing and Cemetery Commissioners have affirmed their desire to pursue this designation. Funding has been made to provide funding to hire a Historic Preservation Consultant to prepare the nomination papers submitted to the National Park Service.

The 12.5-mile Assabet River Rail Trail (ARRT) is proposed to run from Acton via Maynard, Stow, and Hudson to Marlborough The five communities have jointly advanced the trail since 1995 and a section of the ARR5T in Marlborough and Hudson is built and actively being used. To date, the ARRT has revived close to $2.2 million in public and private funding, donations, and commitments. Acton Town Meeting has appropriation to meet their 20% local share for trail design cost. Funding has been made to help fund the easement acquisitions.

Funding has been made to help preserve the historic building through funding roof repairs that prevent ice dam formation. The rehabilitation of the roof is an extraordinary repair that will reverse the deterioration of the roof and preserve the building’s historic function for use as a church and community meeting place.

Funding has been made from the historic set-aside account to fund consulting services for a detailed historical inventory of the characteristics and features of each of Acton's Historic Districts.

The Town approved a two-year CPA appropriation for this regional program in 2012. This funding renews the Town's participation and will cover the fees for the next year. The regional program assists with affordable housing matters which include monitoring affordable units, compliance with regulatory agreements and home ownership training for affordable unit owners.

Funding has been made for a Master Plan for the three historic properties located at 8, 12, and 20 Concord Road in the Acton Center Historic District to evaluate and identify critical needs and set restoration and rehabilitation priorities to preserve these historic assets for future years. All three buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Acton Historical Commission’s Cultural Resource List.

Funding has been made for phase two of a two-part expansion of the T.J. O’Grady Skatepark. Phase two construction consists of a triangular Skate Plaza. Phase two converts the barren 100’ x 100’ area remaining after the original Skate Park parking lot was removed to support the Lower Fields’ synthetic turf field complex installation.

Funding has been made to replenish the existing Community Housing Program Fund for "the acquisition, creation, preservation, and support of community housing in the Town of Acton." ACHC proposes to continue its current programs and initiate new ones: Grant for Housing and Economic Development Implementation Plan with EOEEA matching grant $18,750; capital improvement for affordable unit $1800. $60,000 grant to Habitat of Humanity to subsidize a duplex at 43-45 School St.

Funding has been made for Morrison Farm Well to be irrigated via the installation of a private well.

Funding has been made to the preservation, restoration, and protection of the original historic features including window frames, rotted clapboards, and trim elements on the 1732 main house, the ca. 1750 tavern ell, and the early 19th-century west ell. It also includes some selective repointing of the foundation, replacement of the wood shingle roof on the 1870s north ell, and the historically-appropriate replacement of some 20th- century features that have deteriorated beyond repair. The Jones Tavern has received CPA grants in prior years to restore its four brick chimneys and replace a portion of its roof. There is an existing historic preservation restriction and the historic preservation restriction may need to be updated.

Funding has been made to the removal and replacement of the existing wood shingle roof. The House is in danger of water and other damage due to the deterioration of the roof. The Acton Historical Society received CPA grants in 2011 for the restoration, rehabilitation of the windows and doors and for the roof replacement of two out-buildings on the property. There is an existing historic preservation restriction and the existing historic preservation restriction may need to be updated.

The Community Preservation Committee may appropriate spending from the Open Space Set-Aside Fund for the purpose of acquisition, creation, and preservation of open space, or its rehabilitation or restoration.

The Community Housing Program Fund is for "the acquisition, creation, preservation, and support of community housing in the Town of Acton." It has been used in the past to finance a diversity of affordable housing initiatives and opportunities as they arise. This fund is managed by the Acton Community Housing Corporation (ACHC). $50,000 grant to 446 Mass Ave for local share of $550,000 for 31 rental units of housing for both seniors and disabled adults

This funding renews the Town's participation in the RHSO and will cover the fees for the next two years. The regional program assists with affordable housing matters which include monitoring affordable units, compliance with regulatory agreements and home ownership training for affordable unit owners.

The second phase of a two-part expansion of the T.J. O’Grady Skatepark. Allocating funds for the construction of a triangular Skate Plaza.Road. This provides the funds for the construction and landscaping of a triangular skate plaza built around a bio-retention area, the installation of a formal entrance and viewing area that are accessible for persons with disabilities.

To preserve the existing two family affordable housing.The 2017 Annual Town Meeting voted to authorize conveyance of the property for affordable housing purposes. It is now owned by Habitat for Humanity North Central Mass, Inc.Funding will be contingent on recording a perpetual affordable housing restriction that secures the property on Acton’s Subsidized Housing Inventory.
