Coalition Steering Committee Elects Robert Wagner

Dec. 20, 2012: The Community Preservation Coalition Steering Committee has elected Robert Wagner for the position of CPA Community Representative. Bob has served as the chair of the Hatfield CPC since the town adopted CPA in 2006. The Steering Committee welcomes his insights on both farmland preservation and Western Massachusetts issues.

With 19 years of experience working for the American Farmland Trust, most recently as their Senior Policy and Program Advisor, Bob has an extensive background in conservation policy, non-profit mangement, and farmland protection. Bob and is a long-time resident of Hatfield, where, in addition to his chairmanship on the local CPC, he also serves as the chair of the Hatfield Agricultural Advisory Commission. In 2011, Bob was honored as a "CPA Hero" at the 2011 Kuehn Awards.

As a Community Representative, Bob will join Todd Helwig of Northborough, Jeffrey Sacks of Newton, and Barry Rector of Nantucket. Bob will fill the spot previously held by Andrea Langhauser, a land use planner for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
