Coalition Steering Committee Seeking New Members

Coalition Steering CommitteeThe Community Preservation Coalition is currently seeking applicants to fill two new at-large seats on our Steering Committee with the goal of better representing the diversity and broad appeal of the statewide Community Preservation Act program.

Since enactment in 2000, over half of Massachusetts communities have adopted CPA, representing 62% of the state's population. To-date, the program has raised over $2.5 billion in public funds for CPA projects. During the last eight years, more cities and large towns have adopted the program, and CPA funding has increasingly been spent in more communities and neighborhoods that have majority populations of color. With this in mind, the Coalition's Steering Committee has voted to expand its membership to match CPA's statewide growth and impact - if you are interested in helping to guide the future of the CPA program, we encourage you to apply.

The Coalition Steering Committee is currently comprised of 18 members and includes representatives from The Trust for Public Land and the TPL Action Fund, Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association, Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance, Mass Audubon, Preservation Massachusetts, The Trustees, representatives from CPA communities in the Commonwealth, and at-large members.
