CPA Legislation Reaches Governor's Desk

June 29, 2012: After being released from Conference Committee, the FY 2013 state budget was approved by both the Massachusetts House and Senate late yesterday.

The bill includes the full CPA legislation, including the long-awaited changes to the recreation rules and $25 million from the state's FY 2013 budget surplus for the statewide CPA Trust Fund. Although the bill includes the $25 million transfer just one time, in the fall of 2013, legislative leaders have indicated their full intention to provide $25 million from the budget surplus in future years as well.

The bill now awaits the signature of Governor Patrick, who has 10 days to review and consider amendments to the bill.
