Fourth Annual Kuehn Community Preservation Awards

Bob KuehnAug. 1, 2015: The Community Preservation Coalition is pleased to announce The Fourth Annual Kuehn Community Preservation Awards, taking place on October 6, 2015 at the Massachusetts State House’s Great Hall. The Kuehn Community Preservation Awards were developed to honor the memory and work of Robert H. Kuehn, Jr. 

The program will honor ten "Community Preservation Heroes," individuals who have been significant contributors to the success of CPA, and whose work best exemplifies the spirit of Bob Kuehn's legacy.

Bob was actively involved in the process of drafting and passing the Community Preservation Act (CPA), signed into law in the fall of 2000. Bob was also one of the founders and main supporters of the Community Preservation Coalition, and served as Vice Chair of its Steering Committee until his death in June of 2006.

How To Submit A CPA Hero Nomination

Would you like to nominate an individual who has made a significant contribution to the ability of your community to preserve its character and special places using CPA, or who has had an impact statewide in furthering the CPA?

  • All submissions should be submitted via this form
  • The deadline for nominations is 5:00pm on Friday, August 21, 2015

Please keep in mind, nominees should be:

  • Individuals, not groups
  • Volunteers, not paid employees or elected officials. We will accept nominations of paid CPA administrators, however.
  • Significant contributors to the success of CPA, either statewide or in your community.

Award recipients will be announced in early winter, and all ten Community Preservation Heroes will be honored at a ceremony in On October 6, 2015 at the State House. Award judges will include members of the Community Preservation Coalition Steering Committee.
