MA Energy and Environmental Affairs to Renew Conservation Land Tax Credit Program

Apr. 4, 2012: The state agency will again offer tax incentives to private landowners who donate their land. The program, launched last year by the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA), seeks to increase the amount of permanently protected conservation land. In 2011, the state initiative received 934 acres of donated land, valued at $5.8 million. Eligible donors will qualify for a state income tax credit of half the appraised value of the land, up to a maximum of $50,000. Click here to see the EEA's press release.
