The Community Preservation Committee and Town Meeting voted to acquire a 21-acre parcel of farmland from a local family. The property was held in a trust, with the existing farmhouse and garage extracted from the land to be acquired. Map 18-20-1

Beaver Brook Farm Access Road and Utilities
With the exception of the farmhouse, none of the buildings at Beaver Brook Farm possessed utilities or infrastructure. With more demands of the use of the farm for walking, birdwatching, educational trainings and other activities, the town determined that water, sewer and electrical service needed to be brought into the property, specifically to the squash barn, so that the building could be more useful in programming the buildings and farmland.
