Through their Condo Acquisition Program, the Cambridge Housing Authority purchases condominium units throughout Cambridge and permanently preserves the units as affordable rental housing. The CHA has developed streamlined procedures and processes which enable staff to quickly identify and gain site control of units. Given the dominance of condominium units in Cambridge¿s real estate market, this program is currently one of the most effective and efficient means of securing affordable units.
