The money in this account is used for property appraisals, site inspections, title searches and other items necessary for exploring and evaluating open space acquisition and preservation opportunities and advancing them for Town Meeting action. The fund may also be used for legal fees, Conservation Restriction expenses and stewardship endowments. Town Meeting had appropriated Community Preservation funds to this account in 2010 and 2016.
