For Phase 1 in a long-term plan to restore the three City-owned historic burying grounds: East Parish (Centre & Cotton Street), West Parish (Cherry & River Streets), and South (WInchester & Needham Streets). Phase I involves stabilizing the burying grounds to make them safe for future work by removing hazardous trees and other vegetation, cleaning and repairing at-risk gravestones, and repairing eroded grades.
