To the Braintree Historical society as matching funds for a "Save Our National Treasures" grant for restoration of the Thayer House and the Asa French House in the Historic district.

Funding to The Community Builders, Inc., a non-profit company developing a 50-unit affordable housing development on Lake Street. This contribution will allow the town to qualify for other state matching funds. The development will include 47 affordable rental units and 3 affordable homes.

To convert the historic Main Street School into a community center. Includes $500,000 in cash and a 5-year bond for $1.5 million.

To the Marconi Maritime Center, Inc., for an historical and architectural documentation project for six town-owned buildings, which will help with the town's master planning.

For a condo buy-down of multiple units

For 9.6 acres of open spaceknown as the James property and for a 30-acre expanse off Route 3A. Purchases would help with watershed protection. $400,000 of the total will be bonded over 15 years.

For Design and Architectural work for the rehabilitation of Harmony Hall.

For a historic preservation and accessibility compliance study of the historic Tarkiln Building.

To preserve a pair of fish ladders between Island Creek Pond and Duxbury-Kingston Bay.

To acquire Hassanamesitt Village, a 200-acre parcel that is believed to be the site of a Praying Indian Village, founded in 1654 by the Rev. John Elliot to Christianize the American Indian population. The land abuts town-owned and other land owned by the Grafton Public Land Trust, and would create 450 acres of contiguous open space. Toward the construction and design of a trail system on the old rail bed (about 1 1/2miles). This is the town's share of a larger State Grant to the project if awarded.

To create a model historic preservation restriction.

To purchase a Greek Revival home from the 1800s and 3.29 acres of land surrounding it.

For a down payment assistance program to be offered to qualifying applicants after July 1, 2003. It is aimed at Norfolk residents, their parents and children and town employees, teachers, etc. The appropriation should be able to help about 5 applicants. The houses purchased will become permanently affordable through a deed restriction.

To do a historic survey for the Machine Shop Village to create a preservation masterplan for the area.

To continue rehabilitation of the Stevens Memorial Library, including work on the historic façade.

To bring the fire system up to code at the historic Stevens Estate.

To renovate the historic Sparrell School.

To assist with construction of the Pine Woods affordable housing development. This funding follows $50,000 that was given in 2003 to assist with predevelopment costs. The CPC expects to contribute another $100,000 over the next few years.
