$ 98,200.00 from the CPA General Unreserved Fund. $92,000.00 for the installation of new playground equipment at the Harold E. Fay Memorial Playground and $6,200.00 towards resurfacing of Tennis Courts.

Creation of park with a Fire and Police Department Memorial located at the flagpole on the lawn in front of the Fire and Police Stations

$36,276.62 from the CPA Housing Reserve Fund as requested by the Southborough Affordable Housing Trust. Monies will be used for the purchase and/or construction of new affordable housing in accordance with the Southborough Affordable Housing Trust rules and regulations, and in compliance with the Community Preservation Act. Said funds to be expended under the direction of the Community Preservation Committee, or do or act anything in relation thereto

To see if the Town will vote to appropriate $70,000 of which $33,561.76 from the CPA Housing Reserve Fund and $36,438.24 from the CPA General Unreserved Fund, as requested by the Southborough Affordable Housing Trust. Monies will be used for the purchase and/or construction of new affordable housing in accordance with the Southborough Affordable Housing Trust rules and regulations, and in compliance with the Community Preservation Act. Said funds to be expended under the direction of the Community Preservation Committee, or take any other action thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to appropriate $100,000 of which $36,329.54 is from the CPA Housing Reserve Fund and $63,670.46 is from the CPA General Unreserved Fund, as requested by the Southborough Affordable Housing Trust. Monies will be used for the purchase and/or construction of new affordable housing in accordance with the Southborough Affordable Housing Trust rules and regulations, and in compliance with the Community Preservation Act. Said funds to be expended under the direction of the Community Preservation Committee, or take any other action thereto.

This project will preserve an important, but often overlooked, part of Southborough’s past by interviewing older residents who knew the life of Southborough as a collection of smaller villages, who lived through the pivotal events of the twentieth century, and went about their daily lives as the Town changed around them. The interviews will be shared in talks, exhibits and a publication.

Temporary position to hired a clerk to update and input all old cemetery records into the Potem Software to bring the records up to date.

Preserve 22 acres of farm land with an Agricultural Preservation Restriction.

To construct a helical pier boardwalk to span wetlands at the trail head of the (MMM)New England Scenic Trail.

Consists of 4 parcels. ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to acquire by gift, purchase or otherwise the property known as Whalley Park from John H. Whalley, 3rd and Kathy A. Whalley which shall be owned by the Town of Southwick, as Trustee, in trust for the benefit of the Inhabitants of the Town of Southwick; the property to be subject to a permanent deed restriction limiting the use of the property to the purposes for which it is acquired; and a portion of the property referred to as Restricted Areas to be subject to protection and use provisions consistent with and similar to the provisions of Sections 31-33 of Chapter 184 of the General Laws and in compliance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act; and to authorize the Board of Selectmen on behalf of the Town of Southwick as Trustee to execute any and all documents necessary to effectuate such a restriction on the Restricted Areas in a form and manner consistent with the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. And further to see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of Ten ($10.00) Dollars from the FY2013 Community Preservation General Unreserved Fund for the purpose of acquiring said property.
