Project to improve walking safety for a senior housing project at Central Village. This project was cancelled by the Board of Selectmen.

Work related to construction of sidewalks to serve community housing in Central Village. This payment was made, but the sidewalk project was not completed when the Westport Board of Selectmen voted it down just prior to contract approval.

To compile historic research in three areas for the Westport Town Farm: 1) the early history of the farm built around deed searches, wills, and family histories mostly centered around Daniel and Stephen Wilcox families; 2) the farm changing into the Westport Town Farm and further documenting the whole system of Poor Farms in New England; 3) early Paupers Reports (Westport's first town reports) and the Overseers of the Poor. Who were the inmates of the poor farm and what tasks and chores were expected of them? CPC funds are for researchers, writers, photographers, and print costs.

The acquisition and permanent conservation of the 44.6 acre farm, one of the last blueberry farms in Westport. The farm has approximately 9 acres of agricultural fields, of which 4.5 acres contain productive blueberries. The Westport Conservation Land Trust will acquire the 44.6 acre property and sell a conservation restriction to the Town of Westport.

The Westport Land Conservation Trust (WLCT) has an agreement to purchase and protect the 125-acre Santos Farm. WLCT will acquire the entire property and re-sell the 80-acre core farm to an existing, experienced family farm operation, subject to permanent restrictions held by the Town of Westport. The remaining 45 acres will be held by WLCT as an addition to the Herb Hadfield Conservation Area and preserved through a Conservation restriction, guaranteeing public access to that section of the property.

Appropriation to the Westport Affordable Housing Trust for FY21

Replacement of roof and restoration of bell tower on historic school in the Head of Westport

Completion of ongoing project to restore historic stonewalls in a shipbuilding area of Westport.

Completion of playing fields on a 74 acre lot. This has been a long term project with significant private funds along the way. Total over $2 million.

CPA fund transfer to Westport Affordable Housing Trust for use for affordable housing projects of various kinds in Westport, including for a Housing Officer.

For the inclusion of 5 unrestricted units at Noquochoke Village.

Staffed by a part-time Housing Specialist and Clerk, the HAO administrates, manages and develops programs to support the Trust's work.

Conservation restriction on recreational land

Meet the portion of the cost of a targeted integrated water resource plan that will identify and prioritize the necessary actions that should be undertaken by the community to protect both branches of the Westport River. The funds will be utilized for community outreach portion of the planning process.

The HAO manages and develops programs to support the Trust's work: Gives advice to those seeking housing assistance; supports the Noquochoke Village, staffs the CRE-HAB and the HOPP.
