Creation of a concrete boat ramp to provide permanent public access to island with historic lighthouse under renovation with CPC funds.

For restoration by the Thacher Island Association, a nonprofit corporation, for the restoration, rehabilitation and preservation of Straitsmouth Island lighthouse.

The Cape Verdean Association of New Bedford purchased the Strand Theatre in 1992 with the intent to adapt its use as the Cape Verdean Cultural Center, and has incrementally made structural improvements. This project will fund the exterior restoration of the theater according to The Secretary of the Interior Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties.

Numerous improvements to be made including: Landscaping, bathroom remodel, exterior trim and decks, electrical and lighting, an addition and garage, and misc items.

The Structural Exterior Repairs to the Historic Colonial Theatre project will focus on the North and South walls of the stage house and auditorium of this historic structure. Additional work will be focused on the rooftop of the theatre.

Student Conservation Association projects funded for Summer 2016 and 2017. In Summer 2016, work was done at Ridge Hill and Farley Pond trails. A second set of trail projects will be chosen for Summer 2017.

Evaluate possibilities for design and location of memorials and monuments honoring Truro’s Native Peoples.

For an environmental and engineering study of Lake Waushakum

This recreation project will study the possible rehabilitation and restoration of the bleachers at Spy Pond Field. This study will survey the existing site conditions to properly analyze possible re-use or repurposing of the current structure, document the historical significance, evaluate ways to make the existing structure compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), investigate, draw, and price out the reuse of the current structure or a newly constructed structure, and gather public feedback on the project. The existing structure is beyond its useful life and is in serious disrepair. Doing nothing is not an option as further deterioration will result in safety concerns.

Funding for a detailed evaluation for the proposed preservation and rehabilitation of the Upton Town Hall, including improvements to comply with ADA and other building or access codes.

Preservation of the Barnstable Patriot newspaper by digitizing the first 100-150 years, beginning with the publication of June 30, 1830.

Renovation and preservation of the historic resource Sturgis Library building by replacing cedar-shingle roof, replacement of bay window with historically correct window, replacement of exterior door and main entry door and replacement and addition of historical signage.

To pay difference between affordable rent and market rates for 5-6 families. Three homes are currently being subsidized through this program.

This project will evaluate ways to fund a senior housing project in the Town of Deerfield

For the purpose of contributing to other Sudbury Housing Authority funding to affect the acquisition and/or creation of at least one newly affordable housing unit in Sudbury.

10% allocation for Community Housing allocated to the Housing Authority to fund the creation, acquisition, preservation and support of affordable rental housing.

Would build 7 homes with 16 affordable rental units through Sudbury Housing Authority ($320K of $3.1 million total cost). Will bond for five years, with first year payment costing $77K.

Partial funding for replacement of 4 SHA-owned single family dwellings with 4 new duplex units and the addition of a new duplex unit to an SHA-owned single family dwelling.
