Homeowner's Rehab, Inc. purchased this 16-unit building to rehabilitate and preserve vital low-income rental housing in Cambridge. The project has a mix of family sized two-and three-bedroom units and four studio apartments. HRI has replaced the building's heating system and gas line and is renovating the kitchens and bathrooms in each unit, providing quality rental units with long-term affordability.

A conservation restriction will be held by Barnstable Land Trust. Acquisition of this parcel will protect water quality and wildlife along Bumps River, Scudder Bay and Coombs Bog and provide connection to 27 acres of Town-owned land for the opportunity for walking trails.

The base of this brownstone monument with the inscription "The Dead of 1704" is deteriorating and two courses of brick that support the monument must be replaced. The monument stone must be lifted from the foundation. Lichen must be removed from the monument itself. Once the foundation has been repaired, the monument will be reinstalled atop its pedestal and the surrounding ground restored.
