Restore Johnson Gates and entrance paths at this main entrance to the Back Bay Fens, part of the Emerald Necklace. The Johnson Gates were built in 1902 and erected in 1905. The gates were designed by Guy Lowell, who was also the architect of Boston's Museum of Fine Arts.

The Conservation Commission proposed that the town purchase a CR on 87 acres of a working forest on Westford St. This CR will maintain and increase protected open space and farmlands, and enhance protection of rare species.
