This project will provide resources for the City of Somerville Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development, in partnership with the Friends of the Community Path, to conduct a design study to determine effective interventions to improve drainage on the Path, such as rain gardens and bioswales, to explore the feasibility of creating additional community garden plots, develop signage for Path etiquette and way finding, and options for siting an interpretive display of historical railroad artifacts.

The City's Planning Division will contract a historic preservation consultant to prepare a National Register Nomination for the American Tube Works Complex.

The Somerville Public Library hired a conservator to restore the wood bas-relief in the Central Library carved by a local artist through the Works Progress Administration program in 1939. This funding allocation is for continuation of the work of installing the bas-relief at a safer location and restoring it to its original condition.

Unanticipated carrying costs for 100 Homes properties (overages accumulated on 100 Homes properties that were already in process. The funds paid were used to pay for carrying costs, such as interest that accumulated on MHIC loans when projects were delayed due to unforeseen circumstances).

The Somerville Homeless Coalition will expand the PASS program, which provides rental assistance for up to two years, housing move-in assistance, supportive case management, and follow-up stabilization services to Somerville residents at risk of falling into homelessness, to approximately six additional households.

The Elizabeth Peabody House Association will install an addressable fire alarm system for their building at 277 Broadway.

The Somerville Museum will construct an elevator, the design of which has been approved by the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board and the Somerville Historic Preservation Commission.
