This project will help to prevent the loss of balls and equipment from the soccer field. The net will be installed along the east side of the soccer field on Lower Rogers Field at Flynt Park.

Phase 2 of the Chestnut restoration project at Upper Rogers Field located at Flynt Park. This money will allow the tree committee to continue to clear areas to plant American chestnut seeds for the restoration of the Chestnut tree once found in this area.

Restoration of a nearly 100-year-old fire truck once owned by the Town of Scituate. The Scituate Antique Fire Engine Restoration Group located a 1924 White Fire Truck that was the first motorized fire truck owned by Scituate. Confirmation is based on a) the gold lettering of Scituate and the Number 4 visible on the fire truck; b) the fire truck’s data plate information was sent to the Vintage White Truck Association in California, and the organization verified that this fire truck was purchased by the Town of Scituate; and c) the Group was provided a Commonwealth of MA Certification of Title for the fire truck. It will be made available to the public for viewing and use in parades, exhibits, and events for the Town. The Scituate Historical Society also committed a $5,000 donation toward the restoration costs.

A 220 year old structure as the White Church has not been a church for over 70 years and is now privately owned. Needed restoration and painting of a historically significant building.

The Dance Complex is located in a former Odd Fellows Hall. The building was constructed in 1884 and is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The grant will support a building envelope study, with special attention to the existing conditions of the masonry and windows.
