ARTICLE 10. VOTED: I. That the Town vote to appropriate the sum of $5,000.00 in signage, legal and acquisition costs and $100,000.00 in land purchase expenses, for a total appropriation of $105,000.00 to enable the Town to purchase for conservation purposes, in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 44B, the premises located on Barneyville Road, Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts comprising 15 acres more or less and depicted as Lot 16 Swansea Board of Assessors Map 11, all as further set forth on the exhibit attached to the warrant filed with the Town Clerk and that said sum be transferred from the Undesignated Community Preservation Fund. STM - 11/2/15 – Pg. 3 II. That the Town vote to authorize the Conservation Commission and the Board of Selectmen to submit on behalf of the Town any and all applications they deem necessary to acquire grants and/or reimbursements from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 132A, Section 11 (the Self Help Act), the United States of America and any and all state or federal programs associated with conservation land acquisition and to deposit said funds into the Undesignated Community Preservation Fund. III. That the Town vote to direct the Board of Selectmen to accept perpetual conservation restrictions encumbering said parcels pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 44B, Section 12 and Chapter 184, Sections 31 to 33 inclusive. IV. That the said restrictions be held under the care, custody and control of the Swansea Conservation Commission. - Unanimous vote. Motion made and seconded that the Town vote to amend the main motion to read “as” instead of “on” after the word depicted, in the first paragraph. - Unanimous vote.
