​Rehabilitation of the historic Bethel AME Church, capital improvements include repairs and repointing at the sanctuary north elevation. Preservation and rehabilitation of ADA-accessible rampway and new permeable pavers at the forecourt.

Work includes restoring limestone columns at the front entrance, stripping and refinishing the main sanctuary doors, painting and sealing all limestone joints at the main entry, inspect and seal tower and address rotting wood in the historic chapel doors.

Overall project includes an over $6,000,000 investment in restoring portions of the exterior of the original building, as well as improvements facility wide. The funding request is specifically linked to replacing windows, facade improvements and repair to brickwork.

This represents a second request for funds to aid in the rehabilitation of the existing downtown YMCA. The approved funds in the amount of $110,000 will supplement funds approved last year in aiding the historic rehabilitation of the exterior of the building.

Capital project - Replace siding on the Mellen Barn.

Restore historic scenic vista at the Berkshire Railway Museum.

This project will retrofit a freight elevator within a National Register listed historic building to create a handicapped accessible passenger elevator, required by code, that serves all floors of the building.

Creating additional housing at Proprietors Field

This project involves a full scale masonry restoration project of the exterior of the building that was formerly the Morningside Baptist Church. The project will focus on improvements to areas damaged by water runoff.

The Pittsfield City Council awarded $75,000 to the Berkshire Community College Foundation for the construction of lighting, fencing and accessibility improvements in relation to the construction of a new turf field. The new field will be open for use by the local community, especially for use by local youth and high school sports teams.

Master plan, including ADA requirements.

The project involves funding two specific items: 1) replacement of UV filtering film on all windows, and 2) replacement of HVAC system. Both items will protect historic resources held by the Local History section of the Berkshire Athenaeum.
