The bulk of the work involves the Bedford Street façade. To construct dugouts for the Varsity Baseball Field at Smith Academy

Grant is for the first 2 phases of creating walking paths on the Smith Academy grounds to provide better accessibility to playing fields and to provide a recreational walking path for residents.

2022-3: the proposed study will focus on the Cooley Brook drainage area, the receiving watershed of both park that flows into the Connecticut River. The brook is currently suffering from ecological degradation.

2022-4: these are amenities outside the original scope of work of the Wolf Swamp Athletic Fields renovations.

2022-12: the intend is to fund an architectural study of the building known as Old Town Hall, currently used by the Longmeadow Parks & Recreation Department for various programs, but has historical significance. The building is in great state of disrepair and is important to understand the severity of various issues in order to determine how to plan for a proper renovation.

2022-7: the Conservation Commission-owned land is the only town-owned riverfront property that can provide the public with general access to the CT river. The project intends to conduct a survey, create landscape architecture maps and permitting for a multi-year project that aims to expand the recreational use of this valuable open space asset.
