Housing Authority Life Management Collaborative which is a collaborative initiative between the Bedford Housing Authority and a social services provider to assist families and individuals who are currently living in a Bedford Housing Authority units with obtaining access to various life management skills, job training and educational programs and job referrals.

Funding would allow continued use of affordable housing consultant services made available through an inter-municipal agreement made with several area communities or through other procurement contracts for such services.

Funding would provide for renovations and rehabilitation at Old Town Hall.

Land Acquisition Fund

Funds for appraisal meeting IRS requirements of one of Bedford's few remaining homes over 200 years old. Would compare the value of the property if it was redeveloped to its maximum potential under current zoning with the value if the historic home was preserved.

Installation of signage along and adjacent to the Minuteman Bikeway (MMBW) to provide connectivity between the bikeway and nearby destinations.

Restore stairs to their original build out when they were granite. Current wooden stairs are chipped due to wood rot.

Repave the Springs Brook Park driveway which is deteriorating and has limited areas where 2 cars can safely pass. Included will be pullout areas which will require tree removal and surface regarding.

Due to Powder Post Beetle destruction the belfry had to be rebuild in the same post and beam construction used in1850.

Funds to be used for the completion phase of the Historic Mullen House project. Completionof the siding and painting

funding for removal ofinvasive weeds from Center Lake in Becket Mass.

This phase of the restoration of the Becket Art Center is to ascertain the options for and the estimated cost of repairing and rectifying water issues from significant water damage to the entrance area due to related run off from the roof and landing. Experts will determine the cause and determine how to proceed.

This project includes the estimated cost of all plans, engineering studies, labor, materials, and permits to fabricate and reinstall Becket’s historic cupola to the town hall roof. The cupola will contain the original copper roof and finial.

The town owned building being used as an Arts Center needed insulation and window inserts to allow the building to be used for spring and fall events.

The 150+ year old building has suffered rain and powder post beetle damage over the years. The belfry holds a Paul Revere Bell (recast) that is in jeopardy of collapsing. The floor structural supports have been severely damaged by the beetles and some need to be replaced and some supported. If bids come in and there are monies left over, the original horse sheds also need additional support.

A town owned parcel was converted into a 2.1 mile trail. Relatively easy for elderly and people with dogs. Money was used to pay Greenagers for trail clearing and signage.

First Congregational Church stabilization and restoration

Rehabilitation of land for recreational use, specifically for the purchase and installation of a new, larger shed.

Funds for a Community Development Block Grant application for housing rehabilitation for Becket residents

Carpentry repairs on the exterior of the building (soffets, eaves,trim, molding, siding).Scrape and paint exterior surfaces.

Repair, reset, and level as needed, head stones in West Becket Cemetery, Center Cemetery, and North Becket Cemetery.
