Grant of CP funds from the Barnstable Affordable Housing Growth and Development Trust Board to Housing Assistance Corporation of Hyannis to administer emergency rental assistance program to low and moderate income renters.

Professional preservation, restoration and conservation of 33 of 140 ancient church burying ground headstones that are most in need. Earliest headstone is dated 1823. $1000 in contributions and in-kind labor of church members for remaining 107 stones that are not in need of professional services. Listed with MACRIS and Centerville Historic District.

Acquisition of interest in land off Long Beach Road Centerville to preserve a town way to water.

This 1.20 acre parcel is located within the wellhead protection overlay district, so the acquisition of this parcel will further protect the public drinking supply well the Hyannis Water Departement oversees.

Acquisition of a conservation restriction on 2.3 acres of open space that completes a 37.44 acre area extending to Barnstable Harbor, a major contiguous wildlife corridor and view, by connecting with other conservation lands. Public access is planned by a short walking trail to the field with a sitting area.

New construction of 53 apartments (44 2-bedroom and 9 1-Bedroom units) including 10 Affordable units at 50% AMI. 71,600 s.f. 3-level structure with elevator, many common areas and amenities. Funding administered by the Barnstable Housing Growth & Development Trust Fund Board with Community Preservation funds appropriated to the Trust by the Town Council.

Acquisition of 28 Falcon Road, West Barnstable for open space purposes with a conservation restriction to be held by Barnstable Land Trust.

Support of the creation of 2 moderate income 2 bedroom deed restricted rental apartments within the redevelopment of a mixed use building, located in downtown Hyannis.

Restoration of the support structure of the 1st floor of the oldest portion of the Olde Colonial Courthouse.

Transfer of Community Housing Funds and Undesignated Funds to the Trust to increase the number and availability of community housing by funding programs and projects and initiating same as well. Anticipated tasks: feasibility studies on town-owned land; programs for 1st home buyers, gap funding with flexibility to react to R.E.opportunities as they occur.

Rehabilitation and restoration of interior doors and fireplace. ADA bathroom and access ramp.

Rehabilitation of underutilized baseball field into a multi-use green space for a variety of events, functions and user groups including HP accessible entrance.

Community Housing funding in support of the creation by Friends or Relatives with Autism Related Disabilities, Inc. (FORWARD) of two purpose-built homes with a total of 8 bedrooms/units on 5 acres of land in the Town of Dennis for rent by adults with autism having household incomes of less than 100% AMI.

Acquisition of a 5.92 acre vacant lot in Marstons Mills village for open space and passive recreation, education, and nature study purposes. A conservation restriction will be held by Barnstable Land Trust. Acquisition of this parcel will protect water quality and wildlife along Bumps River, Scudder Bay and Coombs Bog and provide connection to 27 acres of Town-owned land for the opportunity for walking trails.

This complete study of route alternatives and the resulting preferred alignment for Phase IV of the CC Rail Trail is required in order to submit the project for inclusion on the state Transportation Improvement Program for funding of the construction of the project. Phase IV extends from near the intersection of Mary Dunn Road and Independence Drive in the Town of Barnstable to the Barnstable/Sandwich town line.

Funding support for the creation of one year-round affordable rental unit for households with incomes 80% or less AMI within a new multifamily development containing 8 two-bedroom apartments.

Preservation of Town historic resource. Preservation, rehabilitation and restoration work on Burgess House and Barn buildings including restoration of existing windows, foundation work, replacement of gutters and downspouts, replication wood picket fence, ADA walks and building access and lighting.

Acquisition of a conservation restriction from Barnstable Land Trust for purchase of a 3.47 acre buildable residential lot off Shaw's Lane, Barnstable for open space purposes contingent upon BLT raising the purchase price balance of $50,000. Parcel provides a critical public trail link with trails on adjoining BLT and Town land.

Preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of ancient burial ground containing approx. 383 headstones. Phase I work is to provide an inventory of the headstones, location map of each stone, condition assessment, cost estimate. Historically appropriate fencing is also a part of phase I to cease the vandalism and misuse of the burial ground. Self guided tours will be open for public use. Listed with Mass Historical Commission and application for National Register is intended.

Requested additional funding to complete the repair of the skate park bowels.

Replacement of cedar shingles and corner boards on all sides of the house, bulkhead door, new back entry door, restoration of the keeping room fireplace, window re-glazing and repair and custom reproduction fence. Mass Historical Commission property.

Town of Barnstable twenty year strategic plan to determine the needs for outdoor active recreation, the types of outdoor facilities suitable to meet the needs, the relationship of current outdoor facilities to the projected needs, and the types of any future land acquisitions desirable to meet the projected needs.

Replacement of failed windows at the West Barnstable Community Building with insulated, historically-appropriate windows. Replacement of the windows continues the historic preservation of the building and enhances the use of the building by the community.
