REMOVAL OF EXISTING ORIGINAL WOOD WINDOWS IN ENTIRETY, REPLACEMENT WITH INSULATED WINDOWS AND ARCHETECTURAL PANEL INFILLS AT BRIDGEWATER'S HOUSING AUTHORITY HEMLOCK DRIVE, 667-2, A STATE AIDED DEVELOPMENT SERVING LOW-INCOME ELDERLY AND DISABLED RESIDENTS.

Chelsea Restoration Corporation seeks funding to continue their First Time Homebuyer Program, with the goal of increasing the homeownership rate for low income households across Chelsea. This program will prepare participants to become homeowners and potential landlords. The grant will prepare 60 low income Chelsea families to purchase their first home through workshop coordination/presentation and both pre- and post-purchase counseling in both Spanish and English.

These funds will be used for direct financial assistance for low- and moderate-income Chelsea residents in need of rental assistance, security deposits, and first and last month's rent in order to retain or obtain housing. This project will improve the housing stability of Chelsea residents.

Installation of a lacrosse/tennis bounceback wall at Dugger Park

Installation/construction of an adult fitness area, as well as a picnic area in Gillis Park

Renovation of 2 existing bathrooms on the first and second floors of the Historical Society Building at 9 Main Street to be ADA compliant.

the fund makes possible increased acquisition or protection of open space parcels in Northampton by supporting fast action on time-sensitive real estate opportunities and placement of permanent conservation restrictions

removal of knob and tube electrical at 148 South Street amd upgrading electrical ststem to moder code

continued critical exterior repairs to the Smith Charities Building at 51 Main Street

advancement of due diligence site designs for an city-owned affordable housing lot on Evergreen Road;

Restoration and preservation of the Magnolia Library located at 1 Lexington Ave. This will include replacement of windows, doors and a new bulkhead

The Manship Artist Residency Design project includes services of an architectural firm, zoning, building, and environmental code analysis, engineering studies, as well as the permitting for the project.

Restoration of the Nate Ross Baseball Field. The project includes installing an under drain system that will make the ballfield more available in the spring season. Currently there is no drainage system for the ballfield and it can be unplayable and unsafe for days following a rainstorm.

Restoration and preservation of gravestones located at the Bay View Cemetery located at 3 Compass Way. This will include services of a qualified gravestone restoration company who will restore and preserve the sandstone, slate, and marble gravestones.

The project will include removal of old playground equipment and new equipment suitable for ages 5 and under will be installed.

Site Re-Elevation and Waterfront Resiliency Improvements project. Design, permit and construct improvements to their historic working waterfront located at 23 Harbor Loop that will add adding 75+ years of resiliency against sea-level rise flooding.

The project includes preservation of existing affordable housing from injury, harm or destruction. The replacement of the roofs preserves the building envelope of the 9 multifamily buildings and allows the continued habitability of the 60 affordable units.

Historic Preservation and restoration work for provision of accessibility to the historic Olde Colonial Courthouse building by installing a lift leading to a new accessible entrance on the east side of the building and regrading to create an accessible walkway to the building. Massachusetts law required the building to be made compliant with regulations relating to building access for persons with disabilities.

Land acquisition for conservation and Westfield River access

Phase II will include the rehabilitation of the exterior building envelope, including windows, exterior doors, repointing masonry, evaluation and repair of the flat roof over the back extension and any other repairs deemed necessary.

CPA funds are virtually the only funds available to the Trust for its efforts to create affordable housing. Funding may be used to further the development of projects and, to investigate other town-owned properties for suitability for housing, or for emergency efforts. Having funds on-hand enables the Trust to respond quickly to opportunities. The Committee chose to recommend this amount in recognition of the current available balance of funds within the AMAHT.
