Funding has been made for Acton’s portion of the 100% engineering design plan needed to bring Phase 2B to construction ready. Concord is funding its portion of the Phase 2B 100% engineering design while MassDOT is also contributing funds.

The Community Preservation Committee may appropriate spending from the Open Space Set-Aside Fund for the purpose of acquisition, creation, and preservation of open space, or its rehabilitation or restoration.

Funding has been made for the Acton Housing Authority to fund consulting service for a planning and feasibility study. The study will assist in determining the most feasible options for creating new affordable housing opportunities for low income Acton seniors.

The Trail Through Time is a bi-cultural heritage trail through the North Acton conservation lands that provides access to Colonial and Native American sites. The Wheeler Farm and (Robbins) Mill complex and its surrounding area show evidence of the interaction between the Native American and the early Colonial cultures that to some extent existed concurrently. This Phase III project will focus on stonework restoration of the Grist Mill complex together with landscaping enhancements and information panels. It is designed with future enhancements to the Native American artifacts in mind.

STM 11/16 #20 - To acquire the property shown as Lot 67 on Acushnet Assessors Map 24, for use and maintenance as open space and the creation of a public passive recreation resource with a conservation restriction in said property.

REPLACE WINDOWS ARE FIRE STATION #2

6 bike racks installed at various recreation locations throughout town. $2,463.05 was reimbursed by Southeast Regional Planning and Economical Development District.

Replace 3 doors, repairing and repainting the porch and purchasing materials for and installing a handicap accessible ramp. In exchange, town will enter into grant agreement with Grange #285, and receive a Historic Preservation Deed Restriction.

Add blown-in insulation in exterior walls and attic, and replace any broken or damaged clapboards.

Replace stainless steel liner, change piping from furnace to chimney, clean exterior bricks on the roof and remove the blue stone cap.
