Beverly City Council Approves CPA for November Ballot

June 5, 2012: Beverly City Council voted last night, Monday, June 4th, to send CPA to the ballot in November. On November 6th, 2012, Beverly voters will have the opportunity to choose whether to implement a 1% CPA property tax surcharge, with exemptions for the first $100,000 of residential property value and low-income and low- and moderate-income senior homeowners. Beverly voters will now join voters in the communities of Great Barrington, Milton, and Somerset in considering adoption of CPA on Election Day this coming fall.
