Funds to support the acquisition, creation and preservation of community housing

The project is to rehabilitate four aging tennis courts at Featherland Park, last rebuilt in 1987 and out of operation since the winter of 2014-2015. The new facility will also have four tennis courts and fencing, but in addition will be equipped with four half-court basketball setups and two pickle ball courts, and fully accessible. Total project cost $192.519.48 Reversion 27,480.52 back to CPA funds.

To acquire the fee interest in approximately 34.5 acres of land known as the Broadacres Farm. 9 acres will be used for recreation; 5 acres for general municipal purposes, and 19.5 acres for open space. CPC funds were used to purchase the 9 acres for recreation purposes. The balance will be paid by debt exemption.

To digitize and make easily accessible to the public the Goodnow Library's historic newspaper collection. $6166. reverted in 2020.

Support of the construction of Phase 2 of The Coolidge at Sudbury which will create 56 affordable units of community housing.

Previous attempts to remove the water chestnuts from the Hop Brook Pond system by mechanical harvesting have failed. This project will use environmentally friendly, rapidly decaying chemical treatments applied over a three year period and with the approval of the Conservation Commission.

To advance the design and construction of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail (BFRT) south of the intersection with the Mass Central Rail Trail.

To pay for a third party to conduct monitoring activities for the Town owned Libby and Dickson properties to monitor compliance with the terms of the Conservation Restriction on the land.
