Renovation and rehabilitation of an old ball field into a high quality softball field in memory of the late Principal Timothy Merritt. Project includes creation of dugouts, on-deck enclosures, scoreboard, sign, equipment, supply shed, and a 5 year maintenance plan.

Jointly with the towns of Whately, Conway and Deerfield, Sunderland provided additional funds to rehabilitate and restore the tennis courts at Frontier Regional School.

To hire professionals to produce a realistic actionable plan for the Sunderland Community Pathways System, which will improve the quality of life and public health in Sunderland.

To provide a grant to the Sunderland Volunteer Firemen Association for the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of an historic 1925 Reo Fire Truck.

To preserve and restore the historic Riverside Cemetery, including gravestone repair, tree inventory, landscaping and road resurfacing.

Preservation of vital records and creation of a retrieval system for ease of access for conducting records searches and requests, which are required by MA General Laws.

Restore and rehabilitate the Early Childhood Playground at the Sunderland Elementary School with a new design with learning, safety and fun in mind.

Transfer CPA Funds to the Town's Conservation Trust for the acquisition of an Agricultural Preservation Restriction (APR) on a parcel or parcels of land in the Town of Sunderland.

To plan and design the next phase of improvements to Riverside Park. This project will address the expressed needs for improvements to the soccer and baseball facilities, as well as other town priorities.

To design a town-wide public trail system with clear public walking and biking routes, access to points of interest, improve the town’s connection to and conservation of Mt. Toby, and increase the speed and efficiency of rescue efforts on Mt. Toby. The end result of this project will be a professional plan, schematic maps, and cost estimates necessary to pursue outside grants.

Acquire 40 acres of watershed land on Cross Mountain Rd., adjacent to existing Sunderland Water District's land holdings, with support from the Drinking Water Supply Protection Grant Program, Sunderland Water District, Kestrel Land Trust and the Sunderland Conservation Commission. The ultimate goal is to protect the high water quality of Sunderland’s drinking water supply.

Create an organic, raised-bed pollinator garden at the Sunderland Elementary School. This educational garden will have native plants, illustrated signage and drip-irrigation watering system to explain the process and importance of each component and species.

Restoration of the exterior masonry and foundation foundation with repointing of the Graves Memorial Library, an historic building from 1900.

To allow for extending the footprint of the restrooms beyond the PARC grant approved project providing $50K. This rehab would keep the same capacity and be fully accessible.

The renovation of restrooms at Riverside Park need accessibility improvements and the cost of materials has increased. The Recreation Department needs a new shed for all the storage of fun.
