RENOVATION OF WINTHROP PLAYGROUND

RENOVATION WORK TO BELL & CLOCK TOWER. Original project appropriation was for $64,100 for the bell and clock tower, but after negotiations for the grant agreement and preservation restriction, the project scope was reduced to just the clock repairs at the value of $14,100. Work was completed by the First Church and the project was closed out.

DESIGN & ENGINEERING FOR SPORTS FIELDS

Funding for the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee for the improvement and rehabilitation of the Buker Playground, including all incidental and related costs.

To permanently mark the boundary of the Fairfield Cemetery property and to repair, newly mark, and protect the clustered grave sites therein.

Continued Preservation to the building of the historic Clafin-Gerrish-Richards House as subject to the application and grant agreement between the BOS and the Wenham Museum Board of Trustees

Creation of 2 affordable housing units through comp permit for one 2-bedroom and one 3-bedroom unit at 40 Hull Street by Habitat for Humanity North Shore

Purchase and installation of Wenham Lake Cedar Street granite bench as indicated in the application and the Open Space and Recreation plan

Transfer from the CPA to the Wenham Affordable Housing Trust in the amount of $150,000.

West Wenham Feasibility Study to be managed and completed by Open Space and Recreation Committee to determine best use(s) of West Wenham Playground and determine next steps for transitioning to determined better use(s).

Rehabilitation of the Tennis courts in the Wenham Village Improvements Society's Tea House open to all Wenham residents, specifically to repair cracks, resurface the court, and significantly extend the life of the courts and all incidental and related expenses

To provide and maintain facilities and resources for active recreation and opportunities for all residents. To improve and maintain existing parks and playgrounds to provide a mix of uses for a broad range of needs and interests, including those with disabilities.

The project will aim to improve and update the High School Athletics Facility in order to retain students and maintain quality facilities. Note that the CPC voted to appropriate money for this project with the understanding that the funds be used for Items such as tennis courts, accessibility, and track, not the turf fields.
