Work related to construction of sidewalks to serve community housing in Central Village. This payment was made, but the sidewalk project was not completed when the Westport Board of Selectmen voted it down just prior to contract approval.

Purchase of conservation restriction for 50 acres of land abutting Herb Hadfield land and Cornell Road. AKA Herb Hattfield Addition. Map 81/4E

CPA funds were used to acquire the historic 1710 Cadman White Handy House for ownership by the Westport Historical Society and to repair the septic system. The septic system has not been designed yet so the project is still incomplete. The property has been purchased. An historic preservation restriction is held by the town and a grant agreement was signed which requires that the town be given first right of refusal at no cost if the Historical Society gives up ownership.

Rehabilitation of walkways to building for ADA accessibility project

Removal of asbestos in the common rooms in a senior housing building

Initiative #1: Housing Assistance Office. Initiative #2: The Trust is supporting the Town’s Noquochoke Village planning process. Initiative #3: Small Scale Development of affordable housing on town-owned property working with a not-for-profit developer, such as Habitat for Humanity. Initiative #4: Homebuyer Program to provide subsidy to low-income homebuyers in exchange for a permanent affordability restriction. These funds have been allocated to the Affordable Housing Trust. Projects done under this appropriation will be reported when complete.

The preservation of the exterior of a historic church in the Westport Point Historic District.

The development of soccer fields on town owned land

This project includes a peer review of the estuaries report, public outreach, and scenario analysis of the estuaries report.

This project includes funds transferred to the Affordable Housing Trust for community housing projects: housing assistance office, small scale development, homebuyer program and CRE-HAB program. These funds were transferred to the Affordable Housing Trust. Projects completed under this appropriation will be reported.

Restoration of the exterior of this historic building. Privately owned building on Town owned land. The Land is owned by the Town and the building will have a preservation restriction. The building is a total of 5115 square feet.

Restoration of Exterior only of a historic building which served among other things as a garage, store, etc. Located in the historic Head of Westport.
