The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission New Haven Northampton Canal Project will identify and record the path of the canal. The cities and towns along the canal will share in the cost.

There is a commitment for reimbursement of funds through a PARC grant for the installation of a splash pad and improved walking trails at Conant Park, near the Town center. .

The Water Department describes this 76 acre piece of land as crucial to the protection of the aquifer which is the main source of water for the Town. One boundary area is the North Branch of the Manhan River. The Town well receives water from this area.

For the local match required for a MassTrails Grant to help pay the design costs for the Greenway Rail Trail bike and pedestrian path.

To meet the increased cost of completing the foot bridge over the Manhan River as part of a Mass Trails Grant (Phase II) project in the Manhan Meadows Sanctuary.

For the construction of a fully accessible playground at Labrie Field. This project is sponsored by the Magic for Maddie Committee to honor the short life and spirit of Maddie Schmidt and her love of outdoor sports activities

For GIS work to update open space maps.

To fund the preservation of historic documents, mostly deed records, from the 18th century.

To help restore Breakneck Conservation Land by eliminating invasive species and creating new trails.

To upgrade and make more accessible the All-Wars monument built in 1971 at the eastern end of the Town Common.

For restoration of the Flagg School/ Historical Society Museum, a Town-owned historical property used for archival storage, processing, and public viewing of historically significant manuscripts, records and objects in the collection of the Historical Society

To appropriate $27,015.00 from the CPA General Unreserved Fund to fund Phase II of the Southborough Town Clerk’s project. Monies will be used for the preservation and microfilming of historic town records

To appropriate the amount of $6,000 from the CPA General Unreserved Fund, as requested by the Southborough Historical Commission. Monies will be used for application fees associated with adding the South Union School to the National Register of Historic Places, for the purpose of Historic Preservation.

to appropriate $90,000 of which $40,120.57 is from the CPA Housing Reserve Fund and $49,879.43 is from the CPA General Unreserved Fund, as requested by the Southborough Affordable Housing Trust. Monies will be used for the purchase and/or construction of new affordable housing in accordance with the Southborough Affordable Housing Trust rules and regulations, and in compliance with the Community Preservation Act.

The Town of Southborough is requesting funds for the historical restoration of South Union School, restoration of the windows addition of storm windows, and other external renovations.

Monies are to be used to hire an engineering firm to evaluate the condition/work required on a piece of property that the town owns or is considering purchasing for the purpose of recreation. Use of the funds is contingent upon approval of the Board of Selectmen.

That the Town vote to appropriate the sum of $50,000 of which $33,561.76 will derive from the Historical Reserve Fund, and $16,438.24 from the CPA General Unreserved Fund for preconstruction costs for the creation of the Stony Brook Museum, for the purpose of Historic Preservation, and authorize the Southborough Board of Selectmen to enter into a long term lease agreement with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts upon terms and conditions and with any sublease arrangement that they determine appropriate to the Town, for the Nichols House located at the Sudbury Reservoir #5 Dam. Said funds to be expended under the direction of the Community Preservation Committee.

To see if the Town will vote to appropriate $70,000 of which $33,561.76 from the CPA Housing Reserve Fund and $36,438.24 from the CPA General Unreserved Fund, as requested by the Southborough Affordable Housing Trust. Monies will be used for the purchase and/or construction of new affordable housing in accordance with the Southborough Affordable Housing Trust rules and regulations, and in compliance with the Community Preservation Act. Said funds to be expended under the direction of the Community Preservation Committee, or take any other action thereto.
