Cape Ann HomeOwnership Center

Established in 1948, the Gloucester Housing Authority currently assists over 1400 low and moderate-income households on Cape Ann annually through public housing, rental assistance and homeownership programs. Housing prices and tight credit markets pose obstacles for credit worth families to purchase their own home. The waiting lists for Gloucester Housing Authority pre-purchase certificate courses have doubled in the past year.

Cape Ann Museum, Preserve & digitize Phillip & Holloran plans

The Grantee received an extraordinary collection of more than 300 architectural plans of Gloucester business and municipal building and private homes, from the estate of Robert Holloran, who was the last partner in the architectural firm of Phillip & Holloran. These plans had been stored, tightly rolled, for over fifty years and are in fragile condition. The Grantee plans to conserve (flatten, clean and repair) and digitize them so that they can be made available to researchers and the public and to prevent further damage.
